Andy Robertson has taken responsibility for his red card against Tottenham Hotspur, but said it was best if he did not speak about the other incidents that went against Liverpool.Robertson was heavily involved in the 2-2 draw between Tottenham and Liverpool on Sunday. He assisted his side’s first goal with a cross for Diogo Jota and scored their second with a low header.
However, less than 10 minutes after his goal, Robertson received a red card for a poor challenge on Tottenham full-back Emerson Royal.
Robertson swung at the Brazilian and took him rather than the ball. The referee initially booked him, but checked with VAR and upgraded to a red card.
There was no change to the scoreline after, though, with Spurs already having equalised by the time their visitors went down …
