21-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal was satisfied with how he performed in his first match since his Australian Open victory. On Tuesday, fourth-seeded Nadal saw off qualifier Denis Kudla 6-3 6-2 in his Acapulco opener. It was the first meeting between Nadal and Kudla. “It has been a positive match. I think I started playing well, a good victory in straight sets. That’s always very positive for the confidence,” Nadal said post-match, per the ATP website.”I think I played a very solid match for the first day.
