Borussia Dortmund are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea forward Timo Werner, who is expected to move on this summer.The Blues splashed out £45million to land the Germany star from RB Leipzig in 2020. However, the 25-year-old has had an inconsistent spell in west London and has largely been disappointing.
And according to Sky Germany, Dortmund are keen on bringing the pacy forward back to the Bundesliga.
Werner has made just six league starts for Thomas Tuchel’s men this season. Indeed, Romelu Lukaku and Kai Havertz have often been preferred in attack by the German coach.
Dortmund’s interest in Werner stems from concerns that they will lose Erling Haaland in the summer.
The prolific Norwegian is being strongly tipped to head to England or Spain in a big-money deal and Dortmund will need to replace his goals output.
