Thomas Tuchel addressed Roman Abramovich’s sale of Chelsea as they “cancelled the noise” to beat Luton Town in the FA Cup.Shortly before kick-off at Kenilworth Road, Abramovich announced he would be ending his 19-year association with the club. The Blues then instantly fell behind in the game to their Championship opposition.
However, they twice levelled before finding a winner to prevail 3-2 and reach the quarter-finals.
Speaking to BBC Sport post-match, Tuchel said: “I like how we played, we didn’t get frustrated and were patient and at the same time relentless to find the gaps and the decisive chances.
“We deserved to win, it was a good team performance, a very humble performance, I like it.
“Every match we play is the most important and that is why they are on the pitch and it is good that they score.”
The German coach revealed he didn’t have much more warning than the Chelsea fans about the club being put on the market.
