Nothing explains the difference between the football and hurling leagues in 2022 better than the mood in the two counties whose teams started the year as All-Ireland favourites. Neither Limerick nor Dublin have won a game yet, nor even squeezed out so much as a draw. They’ve both been beaten by teams who ordinarily wouldn’t have a prayer against them.
