World No. 20 Elena Rybakina felt her serve played a big role in her win over Victoria Azarenka as the Kazakh handed the former world No. 1 a 6-3 6-4 loss in the Indian Wells Masters third round. It was the first meeting between the two and Rybakina delivered to book a round-of-16 meeting against Viktorija Golubic. “It was a tough match, but really happy that I won today,” Rybakina said afterward, per the WTA website. “Today my serve was really, really good. It helped me a lot.” Rybakina was unhappy with Azarenka Azarenka covered her shoulder in a kinesiology tape and at one point delayed play to take a moment for herself.
