Liverpool are leading the race to sign exciting Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak, according to one Spanish outlet. The news that Jurgen Klopp’s men head the queue for the talented Sweden hitman is somewhat of a surprise. The two main protagonists in pursuit of the 22-year-old were thought to be Arsenal and Manchester United.
The Daily Star has claimed Old Trafford transfer chiefs believe Isak represents the next best value for money in the current market. While Sociedad sporting director Roberto Olabe has admitted that the north Londoners have a “clear interest in him”.
Olabe has also stated the club is “well protected” in their efforts to keep the Sweden international.
