Former world No. 1 Rafael Nadal admitted he felt a little bit of foot pain during his Indian Wells round-of-16 match. Nadal, seeded at No. 4, defeated No. 17 seed Reilly Opelka 7-6 (3) 7-6 (5) to progress into the Indian Wells quarterfinal. Nadal, 35, was severely hampered by a foot injury last season. After the French Open, Nadal took a two-month break, skipping the Tokyo Olympics and Wimbledon.
