A major European club is reportedly back in the mix for Edinson Cavani after failing to land the Manchester United striker in 2020.Cavani became a free agent that summer when opting to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of his contract. Plenty of clubs kept tabs on the situation, including United, Chelsea and Atletico.
Ultimately it was United who won the transfer race by handing Cavani a one-year deal. He went on to score 17 times in his debut campaign and extended his spell at Old Trafford by another season.
The 35-year-old hitman has struggled with injuries this term and is also behind Cristiano Ronaldo in the pecking order.
