Munster, as expected, got their URC campaign back on track and ran in six tries ahead of their Thomond Park showdown against champions Leinster next weekend.
And while Ben Healy kicked 21 points with nine flawless kicks, Munster didn’t have it all their own way and the loss of all-time top try scorer Simon Zebo with a knock to the head will be a cause for concern as they prepare for the visit of their arch rivals.
But Munster’s first visit back at Musgrave Park in over two years never looked like producing anything other than a win as they ground down the Italian resistance.
