Premier League rivals Southampton and Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing a summer swoop for Tottenham and England midfielder Harry Winks.The 26-year-old has made 198 appearances for Spurs, scoring five times, but he looks certain to be offloaded this summer as Antonio Conte looks to reshape his squad and also raise funds for new additions.
A report in the Daily Star claims that Winks is no longer in Conte’s plans. To that end, the north London club are willing to sell the player – if the right offer comes along.
Tottenham’s current first-choice central midfield duo Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and January signing Rodrigo Bentancur has been outstanding as a partnership in recent weeks, with Spurs getting their top-four hopes back on track.
Conte will also have Oliver Skipp to call upon soon. Indeed, the injured star was often preferred to Winks when fit.
