Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch has revealed that one of Kalvin Phillips or Liam Cooper will start Saturday’s crucial Premier League clash against Southampton.The duo have been building up their fitness over the current international break after injury lay-offs. However, Marsch is wary of starting both of them against Ralph Hassenhuttl’s men.
Phillips and Cooper were both unused subs in Leeds‘ thrilling 3-2 win at Wolves last time out but are expected to see some on-field action this weekend.
Speaking ahead of the game, Marsch said: “They’re both in contention to start, they’re both probably not 90 minutes but we’re close. I don’t think we can start both of them but we’ll think very carefully.
