Rangers legend Barry Ferguson has completely shut down suggestions that Giovanni van Bronckhorst could be facing the sack at his old club.The Ibrox outfit were beaten 2-1 at home by Old Firm rivals Celtic on Sunday to fall six points behind in the two-team Scottish Premiership title race.
That loss has led some pundits to suggest that the Dutchman is not up to the job.
However, Ferguson has rallied behind his former teammate and thinks Van Bronckhorst deserves more time.
“No, I can’t see [him getting the sack]. No way,” Ferguson said on the Go Radio Football Show.
“He’s only had one window in January and we all know what that window is like, it’s a tough window.
