Newcastle United have been told of the ‘perfect’ attacking midfielder to link up with Bruno Guimaraes – and the star watched the Magpies in action recently.Guimaraes moved to St James’ Park in January as Newcastle paid Lyon £40million for his signature. And the Brazilian is already a favourite among the Magpies faithful.
He got his first goal for the club in their 2-1 victory over Southampton on March 10. Dan Burn won the header from Matt Targett’s corner, allowing Guimaraes to pull off an audacious flick past Fraser Forster.
Southampton were unable to respond to that goal, giving Newcastle another huge three points in the fight against relegation.
