Rangers have reportedly offered young midfielder Alex Lowry a £5,000-per-week contract to stay at Ibrox, as fears grow that he could move on.The Scotland Under-19 international broke into the club’s first team this season and made an immediate impression, with Ibrox fans purring over the elegant midfielder’s performances.
Lowry’s current deal runs out in the summer, but Football Insider states that Rangers are looking to tie him down until 2025.
The report adds that the 18-year-old has already rejected an initial offer for the club. That offer was said to have been on improved terms and worth a total of £780,000 over three seasons.
