Ralf Rangnick has reportedly been tempted by a job offer from the Austrian FA and could walk away from his Manchester United consultancy role.The Old Trafford interim boss is coming to the end of his spell in the dugout following his arrival in November. While he steadied the ship somewhat after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure, he has not inspired a massive turnaround.
United hope Ajax boss Erik ten Hag, who will succeed Rangnick, can do that job. Nevertheless, United plan to use Rangnick’s experience as a sporting director from this summer onwards.
Indeed, the German agreed to move into a two-year consultancy role working with Man Utd chiefs.
