Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal target Gianluca Scamacca “will leave” Sassuolo in the summer, but mentions further interest.Scamacca has enjoyed a good last few seasons in front of goal. The Italian striker notched nine goals and an assist for Ascoli in Serie B – where he was on loan – two seasons ago.
He was then loaned out to Genoa the following season. Scamacca found the net 12 times in all competitions for the mid-table Serie A side.
That finally earned him an opportunity at Sassuolo, after a number of loan periods. He has grabbed that opportunity with both hands, scoring 13 league goals this season.
