Fabrizio Romano has revealed Marcos Alonso is the latest Chelsea player to become a summer target for Barcelona.The Spanish giants are hoping to land Andreas Christensen. They should be able to get the Dane on a free transfer as his contract expires this summer.
Barcelona also held hopes of signing captain Cesar Azpilicueta for no transfer fee. However, the 32-year-old’s contract extension clause triggered once he reached a certain number of appearances this season.
Due to this, Azpilicueta’s Chelsea contract now runs until June 2023. Nevertheless, Barcelona are confident of paying a small fee to take him back to Spain ahead next term.
