Lucas Torreira could be about to end his association with Arsenal, as loan club Fiorentina are ready to ramp up negotiations for a permanent transfer.Torreira signed for Arsenal from Sampdoria in 2018, staying for two seasons. He made 89 appearances in that time, but was allowed to leave in 2020. He first endured a frustrating season on loan at Atletico Madrid – with whom he won La Liga as a bit-part player.
Then, for the current campaign, he returned to Serie A to feature for Fiorentina. The move back to Italian football has benefitted the Uruguay international.
