Liverpool are ready to move for Aberdeen right-back Calvin Ramsay who his manager has admitted will be difficult to retain this summer.Liverpool’s right-back position is locked up for the foreseeable future with Trent Alexander-Arnold. At 23, the boyhood Red is likely to remain at Anfield for the long haul, though that makes signing adequate back-up tough.
Jurgen Klopp’s current options when Alexander-Arnold misses out are Joe Gomez, James Milner and Neco Williams, who was loaned out to Fulham in January.
Williams is the most obvious like-for-like replacement with the Welshman favouring the attacking side of the game.
However, talk of a permanent switch to Fulham has emerged and their promotion to the top flight ensures they’ll have money to spend.
