There has been progress in relation to one of the guaranteed Manchester United exits this summer, after a report provided a significant update relating to Nemanja Matic.The Serbian midfielder has a contract until 2023 with Manchester United but has already confirmed he will be leaving the club this summer. He has mainly been a backup this season, so will move on in search of more regular gametime.
Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will have his own ideas of how to strengthen Matic’s position. Paul Pogba is also ready to leave, depriving them of another option in midfield.
There will therefore likely be an evolution in the centre of the pitch at Old Trafford. But Matic will not be a part of it.
