Cardiff City have swooped to snap up forward Ollie Tanner from non-league side Lewes, despite terms being agreed over a Tottenham transfer back in January.The versatile attacker is already Cardiff’s third signing of the summer transfer window after the arrivals of Ebou Adams and Jak Alnwick, but things could have turned out very differently for the 20-year-old.
Cardiff initially showed interest in the player last month and after a successful trial period he’s signed a two-year contract.
The Bluebirds are understood to have paid Lewes £40,000 and he’s expected to compete for a first-team squad place.
