Avram Glazer has provided an update about the chances of a Man Utd takeover going through, confirming “the process is proceeding”.Last month, it emerged that the Glazer family was ready to listen to offers for the club. Man Utd’s current owners have been at the helm for 17 years, but their tenure has been controversial.
Groups of supporters have held numerous protests against the Glazers over the years. However, the Americans have taken until recently to consider their future at the club.
Now, the Glazers are considering outside sources of investment for the club. It could lead to a partial or full sale, the latter of which would bring an end to the Glazer era.
