Tyson Fury has played down the importance of his weight, saying it “doesn’t matter” ahead of the Friday weigh-in for Saturday’s WBC heavyweight title fight with Deontay Wilder.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the fight in Las Vegas this weekend, the ‘Gypsy King’ said that he didn’t have a target weight in mind and that on the night, it will have no advantage on whether he can beat his opponent.
“It doesn’t matter – weight, size, anything like that to beat anybody,” said Fury. “You can weigh 14 stone and knock a man spark out, a 25 stone man. It doesn’t really matter, the weight.
