Chelsea have drawn up a new four-year contract for one of their most important players after it emerged Manchester City are targeting him for a summer move, according to a report.
Frank Lampard’s first game back in charge of Chelsea ended in defeat as they were beaten 1-0 by Wolves on Saturday. Matheus Nunes’ brilliant strike – which was his first goal for Wolves – gave the west Midlands side all three points and left Chelsea in 11th place on 39 points.
