Chelsea have stressed to Mateo Kovacic that he will be sold this summer if he does not sign a new deal in the coming weeks, TEAMtalk understands.
The Croatian star is become a cornerstone of the Chelsea midfield during his five-year stay at Stamford Bridge. Indeed, he has made 217 appearances since his arrival from Real Madrid, initially on loan, in summer 2018.
However, the five-year deal he signed at the club upon making his move permanent in summer 2019 is due to expire next year.
