A top source has talked up two high profile exits from the Man Utd first team this summer, and the £60m sum they could generate between them will ‘almost cover’ what’s required to sign Mason Mount.
The transfer priorities at Old Trafford this summer are signing an elite-level centre-forward and a new central midfielder. An attacking upgrade at right-back, new centre-back and back-up to David de Gea are wanted, though they’ll take a backseat until the true prizes are secured.
According to the Athletic, Man Utd’s summer transfer budget will stand at a relatively modest £100m. Such a sum by itself might not even be enough to sign the likes of Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen.
