Newcastle United have been told they must seriously up their bid if they are going to sign Tino Livramento from Southampton, according to a trusted source.
Newcastle have identified Livramento as a potentially great addition to their right-back options. Eddie Howe’s first-choice player in the position is Kieran Trippier, but he is seriously lacking a deputy.
The manager is hoping to get rid of Javier Manquillo, while Emil Krafth is still recovering from an ACL injury. Harrison Ashby is also in the squad, although he is deemed too inexperienced ahead of an important season in both the Premier League and Champions League.
