Real Madrid have won the race for Turkish sensation Arda Guler by announcing his arrival from Fenerbahce, in a move which will leave Liverpool, Newcastle United and Barcelona disappointed.
Guler is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder who has been labelled ‘the Turkish Messi’ in his home country. Despite his tender age he made a big impact for Fenerbahce last season, registering six goals and seven assists in 35 games. One of those assists came in the Turkish cup final as Fenerbahce beat Istanbul Basaksehir 2-0.
