Manchester United legend Michael Carrick could take over as Lincoln City boss after reportedly entering preliminary talks with the club.Carrick spent 12 years as a player at Old Trafford, where he made over 460 appearances and won a host of trophies. His accolades include five Premier League titles, one Champions League and one FA Cup.
The central midfielder retired in 2018 and soon became a coach with Manchester United.
He worked under Jose Mourinho and then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before the latter’s sacking in November.
After that, Carrick became caretaker manager prior to the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as interim boss.
