Bayern Munich star Thomas Muller says Manchester United once tried to sign him and put forward an “insane offer”.The legendary German attacker recently extended his contract in Munich. The one-club man has racked up over 600 appearances for the Bundesliga champions and earlier this month he penned a 12-month extension.
The new contract will extend the 32-year-old’s association with the club into a 24th year. But he has revealed there were three times when things could have worked out differently.
United have been linked with the attacker on numerous occasions over the years. And Muller has fed such rumours too and in March 2021 he hinted a move could be on the cards.
