John Fury has issued a public apology for his ‘inappropriate language’ during Tuesday’s press conference between his son, Tommy, and YouTube star, KSI, but labelled the chaos that was caused by him flipping and smashing tables as part of his ‘character’.

Fury Snr brought the press conference to a chaotic finale when he stood up and began kicking and breaking tables in a moment of madness.

The 59-year-old has now apologised in a video statement where he labelled his actions as ‘unacceptable’.

Speaking in a video posted on social media where he was dressed in a sponsored cap and t-shirt promoting a betting website, Fury said: ‘Good morning people just want to make a quick apology for my inappropriate language yesterday [Tuesday].

‘It’s unacceptable I accept that, but emotions run high, we get involved and it is the fight game, it was pandemonium.

‘Let me sincerely apologise for my outburst of language, I wasn’t alone in doing it, but I want to come out and apologise because I feel it’s appropriate to make that apology to the people who came to the press conference and the viewing audiences,’ he added.

‘I sincerely apologise and I will try and improve, but people, this is John Fury, that’s my character.

‘This is who I am, I’m a real person, not a fake person, nothing scripted, it just happens when it happens. Again I apologise for my inappropriate language and if I have offended anybody I am deeply sorry. See you next time.’

Fury erupted when KSI questioned the boxing abilities of his other son and heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson, and called the Englishman out for ‘ducking’ fights against Oleksandr Usyk that ignited a foul-mouthed reaction.

He snapped and began shouting: ‘Full of s***. Full of s***. Shut up ‘mother******. Come fight me now instead of talking all this bull**** about people’s f****** b*******.

He continued: ‘We are fighting men. My son [pointing to Tommy] will fight him now [pointing to KSI] and then fight anyone else who wants it. Now, lets get the f****** ball rolling.

His son, Tommy, explained jokingly that it ‘must have been the red wine’ that caused the outburst

‘Get the cake and shove it up your a*** hole before I do it. All these little f****** kids. I am a machine. Me! Can anyone question who I am here? I will take them’.

Tommy later offered an explanation for his father’s reaction and jokingly claimed it must have been caused by the ‘red wine’.

Tommy and KSI will settle their differences in the ring on Saturday, October 14, in Manchester with Fury Snr set to be present ringside.

Fury has a history of rage, once gouging a man’s eye out over a 12-year feud over a bottle of beer. He served four years of an 11-year sentence that he was handed as a result.
