Jake Paul has claimed his brother Logan specifically picked Dillon Danis as an opponent because he he knew he would ‘crave attention to sell the fight’ – calling him a puppet’.

Danis has made headlines with his X-rated attacks on Logan’s fiancee Nina Agdal as he shared a historical video about her sexual cravings, posting it on X with the caption ‘morning’.

The trolling hasn’t stopped there as jiu-jitsu fighter Danis also uploaded a picture of Agdal alongside Diego Forlan, the former Man United striker, with the pair’s feud reaching toxic level ahead of their grudge match on the undercard of KSI v Tommy Fury on October 14.

Now Logan’s brother Jake defended the choice of Danis despite the huge controversy around the build up to the fight, saying it was a tactic to sell the bout because of the ‘attention’ he craves.

‘Remember my brother picked this guy for one reason only… because he craves attention and followers and will do his best to sell the fight, making my brother even wealthier in the process,’ he said on X.

Jake Paul has claimed Dillon Danis (L) was hand-picked as an opponent by brother Logan Paul because he ‘craves attention’ – after his shocking X-rated attack on his fiancee Nina Agdal (R)

Danis shared a video online of Agdal explicitly talking about her need for sex

‘Hence why Danis has no backend percentage of the money made. He’s a puppet.’

Logan has dismissed the viscious abuse he has received from Danis centred around Agdal and said it has made their relationship stronger.

‘I love this girl so f****ng much, [the relationship] is so much stronger,’ Paul said.

‘Nothing will get between us, not some fake internet troll. His life has devolved to being a pretend fighter.

‘He’s attacking an uninvolved third-party, a woman. That’s all he has and I get it, all is fair in love and war. The amount of dirt I have on him sitting in my phone, but do I want to go there?’

Jake has received criticism for not wading into the row and standing up more his brother after he posted a video of him pretending to defend him before promoting his new app Betr.

Jake Paul hit back at criticism that he hasn’t defended Logan enough – saying his brother doesn’t need help

Logan Paul’s fight against Dillion Danis will be on the undercard of KSI v Tommy Fury on October 14

But he has now hit back, claiming he does need to come to Logan’s defence

‘People have said you’re not coming to your brother’s defence. Defence of what? Logan is going to knock the f***ing s*** out of this kid, that’s all that matters, the rest is just sales for the fight and making my brother more money.

‘Defence of somebody’s iddy-bitty tweets? We’re grown men here. We’ve seen so much worse than this. Logan doesn’t need my help with anything. People are mad because I used the beef to promote Betr, get over it. It’s marketing 101.’

Jake and Logan have been publicly feuding with Danis – who has also fought in the Bellator promotion – for some time now since a fight between him and ‘The Problem Child’ fell through and Jake instead fought former MMA champion Ben Askren.

The feud has consisted of bickering over girlfriends and family matters with Danis claiming he has had beef with the Pauls and fellow YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI since forever.

Logan (L) and Jake have been engulfed in a feud with Danis for years in a row that has turned toxic with petty insults and pranks

‘The Pauls and I have had beef since forever,’ he tweeted when announcing the fight.

‘Just imagine how you’d feel. Jake attacked my ex, fabricated stories about me impregnating someone, attacked my best friend’s fiancée. Logan ridiculed me for years, attacked Floyd’s wife, filmed a deceased person, scammed millions. KSI went after my mom, the list goes on.’

The feud began with petty digs and pranks but their upcoming fight has added fuel to the fire.

Back in December 2020, Danis was filming an episode of Food Truck Diaries with Brendan Schaub when Paul pulled up and called the 30-year-old ‘Conor McGregor’s little b***h’, before launching toilet paper and water balloons at him.

More recently, Paul has shared videos of himself challenging Conor McGregor, Danis’s training partner, to a bet of $1 million that he will ‘beat his boy’ in their October fight.
