Frank Warren believes Tyson Fury is the most entertaining heavyweight boxer since Muhammad Ali.

The Gypsy King is gearing up to fight former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia on October 28, and Warren claimed on Thursday that there are few fighters in history more captivating than Fury.

Ali, who is widely regarded as the best fighter of all time, was the first boxer in history to become a three-time heavyweight champion and ended up earning the nickname ‘The Greatest’.

Meanwhile, Fury boasts a record of 33-0-1 and is the current WBC world heavyweight champion heading into his bout with Ngannou in Riyadh.

‘Tyson Fury is the most entertaining, most best fun as a heavyweight since Muhammad Ali,’ Warren said during Thursday’s press conference.

Fury and Ngannou will share the boxing ring in a bout being dubbed ‘Battle of the Baddest’

‘Unbelievable. Wherever he goes, he brings excitement and people. Last year, we did two shows in the UK jointly with Bob (Arum – against Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte). Both of those shows sold out. They broke the box office record at Wembley.

‘We sold out the Spurs on December 8, freezing cold, not like the weather today. We sold out. Why? Because of Tyson Fury.

‘Why is he in Riyadh? Why is he opening this Riyadh festival? Because it is him. He is Tyson Fury. He is the best in the world. The most well known boxer at the moment. There’s no doubt about that.

‘This will be a social event, and as I say. It’s two guys that are the best of their discipline. This is the best fighting the best.

Warren lauded Fury on Thursday, saying: ‘Wherever he goes, he brings excitement and people’

‘The winner will walk away with that belt, and they’ll do well financially. There’s no doubt about that.’

Fury and Ngannou finally faced off on Thursday ahead of their highly-anticipated crossover boxing bout, and the Gypsy King claimed he would knock out Cameroonian ‘in seconds’ if the pair were to meet in a mixed martial arts fight.

He told TNT Sports: ‘I’d like to fight Ngannou in the cage, I think I can beat him for sure.

‘He’s not a good wrestler, he’s known for striking and I’m a better striker than him. In little gloves, I’d knock him out in seconds.’
