India have done it! The tally is now 107 with silver medals in both men’s as well as women’s team events in chess.

The Indian men’s kabaddi team emerged victorious after an hour of arguments to reclaim its Asian Games title, beating defending champions Iran 33-29 in a controversial final, which was temporarily suspended. The women’s team survived by the skin of its teeth as it beat Chinese Taipei 26-25 in a dramatic final for the country’s 100th medal.

India are not done yet in the Asian Games 2023 as the men’s team and the women’s team are both vying for medals in chess.

Meanwhile, Yash loses is quarterfinal bout to Magomet Evloes in Men’s 74kg event. He will now hope to get into the repechage round. For that, Magomet has to reach the final.
