Fans in Manchester booed the American national anthem on Saturday ahead of the Logan Paul-Dillon Danis fight.

As a singer performed the ‘Star-Spangled Banner,’ her voice was largely drowned out by a chorus of jeers from the crowd.

The boos came after Michael Buffer urged the British crowd to be respectful of the American anthem.

‘At this time, ladies and gentleman, please be respectful and upstanding as we honor the fighters in the ring from America with their respective national anthem,’ he said.

The booing also caused one of the DAZN broadcasters calling the fight to later say, ‘That didn’t go over well.’

The fight followed a similar script for Danis, who hardly landed a punch on Paul and seemed to not take the fight seriously at times.

The Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt, who spent months aiming extremely personal trash talk at Paul and his fiancée, Nina Agdal, landed just nine punches to Paul’s 82 heading into the sixth and final round.

At other points, he threw backhand punches and even laid down in the ring at one stage.

Security swarmed the ring in chaotic scenes as the fight descended into anarchy

Logan Paul dominated a surprisingly passive Dillon Danis on Saturday night en route to a win

With the fight clearly out of reach in the final round barring an unexpected knockout, Danis went for Paul’s legs in the dying seconds.

After trying to tackle Paul, he wound up on the floor himself before his previously restrained opponent took a shot at him while he was on the ground.

From there, it was pure chaos as both sides’ teams spilled into the ring and a shoving match ensued.

Paul ultimately won by disqualification for Danis’ wrestling antics.
