Jake Paul will return to the ring for his ninth professional boxing fight on December 15, it has been confirmed.

Paul, who saw brother Logan beat Dillon Danis by disqualification at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday evening, hasn’t boxed since August, when he beat MMA legend Nate Diaz by unanimous decision.

He bounced back from a split decision loss to Tommy Fury, who beat KSI on Saturday, earlier on in the year in what Paul deemed a contentious call that he disagreed with.

His opponent has not yet been confirmed, but the date of his fight has, with Paul’s own Most Valuable Promotions promotion and DAZN partnership joined up to reveal the news on Monday.

The bout will be Paul’s ninth professional fight in his three years since turning professional.

In his three years since as a professional, Paul has won several awards, including ESPNRingside’s 2021 Knockout of The Year, Sports Illustrated’s 2021 Breakout Boxer of the Year, and ESPNRingside’s 2022 Viral Moment of the Year.

On the news of his fight being confirmed, Paul said: ‘Eight fights in the boxing game and I’m already its biggest name. I’ve proved that I can headline the biggest global events and defy the odds. PPV after PPV after PPV, and I’m just getting started.

‘My mission is to be a world champion and I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get there. December 15th is the next step on my journey, and I promise you’re not going to want to miss it.’

He also tweeted to break the news, where he said it is his ‘destiny’ to be a world champion.

Nakisa Bidarian, co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, added: ‘Jake’s star power and popularity have proved that he has what it takes to command massive audiences worldwide and become the biggest name in boxing.

‘In just eight professional fights so far, Jake has already demonstrated his historical commercial draw, that he is a force to be reckoned with, and that he is on the way to making an everlasting impact on the sport inside and outside the ring.

An opponent for the fight has not yet been confirmed and is set to be announced in due course

It has been suggested that a rematch with Fury could be on the agenda after the latter beat KSI

Paul won his first six professional fights before losing to Fury in February, when he dropped the former Love Island star in round eight.

The 26-year-old defeated AnEson Gin in his debut fight in January 2020 before victories over Nate Robinson, Ben Askren, and back-to-back wins over Tyron Woodley.

He then defeated UFC legend Anderson Silva via unanimous decision before his defeat to Fury, but he responded with another points decision over Nate Diaz.

An opponent is set to be announced in due course, with speculation he could be set for a rematch with Fury after calling him out and the undefeated man insisted he would fight ‘any of the Pauls’.
