Chris Eubank Jr believes Tyson Fury deserved to lose his ‘Battle of the Baddest’ clash against Francis Ngannou.

Fury picked up a split decision victory over the crossover MMA star – despite being knocked down early in the fight, and many feeling the 37-year-old Cameroonian deserved to win the bout.

Eubank Jr has given his take on the fight, insisting the Gypsy King was lucky and didn’t spend enough time in the gym before Saturday’s controversial victory.

He wrote on X: ‘Watching from ringside I thought Ngannou won the fight. It was close but he was the aggressor, landed heavier shots & scored a knockdown.

‘Fury deserved to lose after having so much trouble against a man who has never boxed before… too much time filming Netflix specials not enough time in the gym I’m guessing. Unlucky Francis.’

Fury emerged victorious despite being knocked down in the third and a great performance from Ngannou on his boxing debut

The documentary ‘At Home With the Furys’ was released last month and documented the Gypsy King’s life away from the ring.

Ngannou stunned many with his excellent performance on his boxing debut.

He knocked Fury down in the third round and despite a fight-back from Fury in the middle of the contest, the Gypsy King’s win came as a shock to many viewers – with some claimed Ngannou had been ‘robbed’ of a famous victory.

Fury’s face was left battered and bruised after his victory, while the ex-MMA star looked fine and took his defeat well – despite celebrating after the final bell as though he had won the match.

Boxing fans now wait to see if the Gypsy King’s bout with Oleksandr Usyk will go ahead, with talk of the match taking place in December.
