American boxing star Ryan Garcia filed for divorce with model wife Andrea Celina because he felt their marriage was beyond repair, according to court documents.

Garcia, the former WBC interim lightweight champion, made an incredible double revelation on Friday when he announced the birth of his second child with Celina and their divorce in a matter of minutes.

Alongside a photo of his son – believed to be his third child overall – the 25-year-old gushed that he ‘loves him so much already.’

Yet incredibly, within an hour of that post he returned to social media with some more news, this time announcing his split from the mother of his son.

According to TMZ Sports, court documents show that Garcia filed for divorce due to ‘irreconcilable differences’ with Celina.

In those documents, Garcia claims that he and Celina – who got married on January 14, 2021 – were separated on Christmas Day.

Though despite their problems, the 24-1 fighter insists he is still willing to support their two children – three-year-old Bela and newly-born Henry – financially going forward.

He is also prepared to pay spousal support to Celina for the next 17-and-a-half months.

In the divorce announcement, Garcia maintained that ‘co-parenting’ is of upmost importance to the former couple.

‘As I step into a new chapter in my life, it’s with a heavy heart to share that Drea and I have decided to divorce,’ he said in the now-deleted post on social media.

‘While this decision marks the end of our marriage, it’s important to emphasize that our relationship as co-parents remains our top priority.

‘Throughout our years together, Dea has been an incredible partner and an even more extraordinary mother to our two children. I’m deeply grateful for the years we shared and for her unwavering commitment to our family.’

Celina regularly posts photos of her life to her 141,000 Instagram followers, but has yet to post anything about the divorce

No similar message has been shared from Andrea’s side. In fact, the only post uploaded to her account was a grab on her story of Eminem’s ‘Love the Way You Lie’, perhaps hinting at a disagreement between the two parties.

Garcia and Celina have been together since 2019 before tying the knot two years later.

The California-born boxer returned to winning ways last month after suffering the first defeat of his professional career against Gervonta Davis last April, stopping Oscar Duarte inside eight rounds to get back on track.
