John Fury has denied claims he and the Paul camp had a ‘heated conversation’ over a potential rematch between Tommy and Jake.

Tommy handed Jake the first loss of his professional career after winning their highly-anticipated bout via split decision in Saudi Arabia last year.

Jake went on to beat UFC star Nate Diaz in August and professional boxer Andre August in December. However, he’s eager for another shot at Tommy.

But, Jake casted doubts over whether that fight would happen when speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, BS w/ Jake Paul.

Paul said Tommy and the Fury camp were asking for ‘more money’ despite the fact he had offered them a ‘lucrative deal’ for the rematch.

When asked whether the conversation got ‘heated’, John told Mail Sport – via Free Bets: ‘I’m at a loss to know what that heated conversation was.

‘I thought we spoke and had a nice, intelligent conversation. So, I don’t know where all this crap is coming from. There was never a heated conversation, nothing like that.

‘I thought it went quite well so I don’t understand what people are having their 10th pence about because that just wasn’t the case. Both sides were very respectful.

‘I knew what we want and they know what they want so we just have to meet in the middle somewhere. I’m sure that can be achieved.

‘You’re going to hear all that second guessing, second hand information and people putting their 10 pence in. It’s all clickbait rubbish. We had a meeting and it went very well for our first chat.

‘I think the Pauls are doing an excellent job at what they do, but so are we. Don’t forget, we are the victors here.

‘We are the ones in charge. We are in the driving seat. They got the best of it last time, so it’s up to me as Tommy’s representative and father, that we get the best of it this time. I’m sure we will.’

When asked whether negotiations stood at the moment, John said: ‘We spoke to them about six weeks ago and we’ve not heard anything since.

‘I’m not sure what is going on behind the scenes. But, the buck stops with me. Right here. People can say what they want and do what they want, but the bottom line is that it has to go through me and Tommy.’

KSI went the distance with Tommy and was upset in the aftermath of the fight after claiming he felt he had done enough to have his hand raised in the ring – immediately calling for a rematch

John went on to speak about KSI, claiming the Paul brothers (Logan and Jake) have been much more respectful than the CEO of Misfits Boxing.

KSI went the distance with Tommy and was upset in the aftermath of the fight after claiming he felt he had done enough to have his hand raised in the ring – immediately calling for a rematch.

However, John has shut down any possibility of a rematch after things got heated during the buildup to the fight – which took place in Manchester on October 15, 2023.

After working up a sweat on the pads at the open work during fight week, Tommy sat down for an interview with his dad, but their conversation was interrupted by KSI goading his opponent from the overlooking balcony.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer refused to stop, and John finally ran out of patience. Getting to his feet, he threw a bottle up towards the balcony, forcing KSI to duck for cover.

Having avoided being hit by the bottle, KSI then leaned over the balcony and spat in John’s direction. He failed to find his target, but angry words were exchanged between the pair.

John has also demanded £200,000 from KSI after the fight, claiming the YouTube star lost their bet on the outcome of his fight with his son Tommy – telling Mail Sport he’s still waiting for the money.

When asked whether they could put their relationship aside if the money was right for a potential rematch, John said: ‘We’re not interested in KSI. Not for a trillion dollars.

‘Unless he comes up with an apology and decides to be a man, we want no part of it. He lost to Tommy on his own show. I know he’s aged about 10 or 15 years because of it.

‘People like him, their egos are so big they just can’t move on from it. That will be his downfall. He needs to look in the mirror and take some lessons off real men on how to be one.

‘You can’t disrespect people think you’re it. At the end of the day, up until the spitting job, up until the BS, he was doing a great job. Him and Logan Paul. But, at the end of the day, Pauls are a different class to him.

‘They’re not spitting at people. They are having verbal disagreements. That’s all part of the game. Spitting at people is a reptiles job. That’s something the scum of the earth does.

‘I am no posh person, I am probably one step off the bottom but I don’t spit at people. I don’t disrespect people in that way. It becomes hatred and no one can do their job properly then.’

John went on to add: ‘If the money wasn’t great, there is no way we would have even considered messing with a man like KSI

‘If a man is jumping up and down, holding every chance he gets, it’s not a boxing is it. It’s a wrestling affair. It’s nothing on Tommy. He was nursing a hand injury at the time so he just did what he had to do.’
