Conor Benn and Gervonta Davis have agreed to fight each other next after exchanging verbal blows on social media.

Davis took to social media to mock Benn – who earned a hard-fought unanimous decision victory over little-known American Peter Dobson in Las Vegas on Saturday.

Davis criticised Benn’s performance even though The Destroyer dominated the scorecards 119-109, 118-110, 118-110 during his second fight back.

Benn – who was fighting Stateside for the second time since he failed two drugs tests in the lead up to his scheduled fight with Chris Eubank Jr – snapped back.

The 27-year-old told Davis to make it official instead of trash talking on social media and asked Hearn to help facilitate a deal between them.

Davis took aim at the Destroyer after the 27-year-old took to social media to announce who he would like to share the ring with next.

After his fight with Peter Dobson, Benn took to X to say: ‘Haney, Eubank Jr (not Harry), Spence Brook, Barrios. Any of the above next Eddie Hearn.

Davis decided to mock Benn, replying to his Tweet saying: ‘No funny, the way you looked last night .Give me 3 weeks & a weekend in Turks and yo a** is grass. You hear me!’.

Benn didn’t take too kindly to Davis’ comments and responded by saying: ‘Oh here he is the woman beating munchkin from Oz! Let’s do it next then?’.

Davis was quick to retaliate, saying the following to Benn: ‘Sure why not.. where would you like ya a** whooping at bruv?’.

To which Benn said: ‘Don’t be all talk either you little shrimp! Eddie Hearn, drop the munchkin a DM and get this fight made NEXT. I’m sure he’ll screenshot the conversation anyway so we will see who’s full of shit. See you soon.’

Davis welcomed Benn’s response and Tweeted: ‘I’ll be waiting Eddie Hearn’.

Benn finished off the exchange by writing: ‘Like I said I’m small but this little shit can’t even get on a rollercoaster at Disneyland. Me and you next. I’ll meet you in the centre of the ring and we will see who’s left standing because I’ll knock your head off and send it back to oz. #munchkin’.

However, Davis grew impatient waiting for Hearn’s message and returned to the social media platform to write: Conor Benn, I’m still waiting’.

The Destroyer replied to Davis saying: ‘It’s coming don’t worry. Eddie Hearn slide in before the little fella gets mad and chins his Mrs’.

Promoter Eddie Hearn was quick to respond to the Matchroom boxer, Tweeting: ‘Done’ with a handshake emoji.

Benn replied to Hearn saying: ‘Let’s just wait Gervunpa lumpa to screen grab the conversation’ with a rat emoji.

Davis snapped back by saying: ‘No need, we are all on the same page’ with two emojis including a winking face and a clock.

Benn replied saying: ‘Don’t be all talk either let’s make sure this happens next. Me and you centre of the ring and we will see who’s left standing.’

Hearn couldn’t help by laugh at the situation, taking to X to write: ‘Is there anyone between 140 and 160lb who doesn’t want to fight Conor Benn. Whole World calling his name.. big fight next!’.

Benn agrees with Hearn and claims he is the most wanted fighter in Britain despite his absence from the ring. He told Boxing Social ahead of his fight with Dobson: I’m a promoter’s dream. Now what more do you want me to do?

Benn it look to stay active and previously spoke about getting back in the ring in April

‘I’m the most wanted man in Britain, the most wanted man in the welterweight division. From [Devin] Haney, from [Kell] Brook, from Eubank, from Gervonta [Davis], from [Josh] Taylor, from [Josh] Kelly.

‘It’s like what more do you want me to do? Even I think [Adrien] Broner once said, then [Manny] Pacquiao. What do you want me to do?

‘I haven’t fought for a year and a half, and I’m still there. Still at the tops of people’s tongues, still at the forefront of people’s minds in these mega fights.

‘It’s frustrating, not because of Eubank, so I couldn’t care less about him. Just a big name, just anyone. Like any one of the name’s mentioned, let’s make it happen.’
