In a shocking turn of events, influencer boxing star Jake Paul is set take on one of the greatest boxers of all time in Mike Tyson.

Paul, who has been very vocal about his desire to improve as a boxer and move into the professional ranks, boasts a 9-1 with his only loss coming against Tommy Fury.

Many within the boxing world will need no reminding of Tyson’s accolades, the Brooklyn native holding a career record of 50-6-2 including 44 knockouts.

And now, despite the 30-year age-gap between the two fighters, they are on a collision course for the AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas.

With all the brazen confidence we have seen from Jake Paul in the past, it may not come as a surprise to many that the 27-year-old has vowed to put his opponent ‘to sleep.’ when they meet.

Where will the fight take place?

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will fight in a place that has been nicknamed ‘Jerry’s World.’

The AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas is the home of the Dallas Cowboys – the NFL team Jerry Jones owns – after it opened in 2009.

The 80,000 stadium has a retractable roof and when it opened in 2009 earned the Guinness World Record for the largest HD video display.

 

When will the fight take place?

Both fighters will have a few months of training camp before they eventually meet in the ring.

The fight is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 20 July giving them ample time to prepare for the bout.

Prior to the bout, Mike Tyson will celebrate his 58th birthday, stretching the age differential to a full 31 years by the time a punch is thrown between the two.

And with so much time between now and then, expect fireworks with the former Disney star known for his ability to trash-talk his opponents.

Mike Tyson is also not one to shy away from controversy and has had his fair share of explosive build-ups to his fights during his incredible career.

While you may be used to finding Jake Pau’s fights on DAZN, as has been the case with the majority of his boxing career, that will not be the case this time around.

Instead, the fight will be streamed via Netflix who have made a foray into sport most recently hosting a tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz.

That came after they announced a bumper deal with WWE to show their weekly Monday Night Raw programming from January 2025.
