Anthony Joshua claimed a stoppage-win against Otto Wallin in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night and celebrated with his fans after the fight.

It was an excellent performance from the 34-year-old, who looked aggressive from the start, delivering a thundering fifth round, before Wallin’s team decided their fighter could not continue.

The victory means Joshua has now won all three of his fights this year and while some uncertainty remains over who he could fight next, the Brit delivered an excellent performance on Saturday and looked back to his best.

After the bout, Joshua was seen shaking hands with Andy Ruiz, who previously beat the heavyweight back in 2019 via a technical knockout.

Joshua was also videoed celebrating the win with fans inside the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia, banging his chest while smiling and waving to the crowd.

It was a stark contrast to the last time he fought in Saudi Arabia, following his defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, where Joshua failed to take back his heavyweight belts from the Ukrainian.

He had thrown two of the belts out of the ring and onto the floor before storming off towards his own changing room before coming back to shake Usyk’s hand.

Joshua then took a microphone and delivered an outburst that saw him cheers Usyk.

He said: ‘I’m stealing this Usyk I’m sorry, but it’s because of the passion we put into this.

‘This guy to beat me tonight, maybe I could have done better, but it shows the level of hard work I put in so please give him a round of applause as our heavyweight champion of the world.

Joshua also shook hands with Amir Khan inside the ring following his victory

Joshua came out aggressively delivereing some bruta blows to his opponent in what was an impressive performance

‘I’m not a 12 round fighter, look at me, I’m a new breed of heavyweights, Mike Tyson, Sonny Liston, Jack Dempsey, “you don’t throw combinations like Rocky Marciano”, I’m 18 stone, I’m heavy, it’s hard work.’

Yet, on Saturday, Joshua cut a much-different figure, stepping onto the ropes smiling and raising his hand to soak up the applause. He was also seen greeting Amir Khan inside the ring.

Speaking on the win he said: ‘We’ve got bigger ambitions.

‘As I said to Louis Theroux, we don’t celebrate when we win these fights, we celebrate when we win titles.’
