Boxing fans have taken to social media to celebrate Anthony Joshua’s impressive win over Otto Wallin at Day of Reckoning.

The British fighter stopped Wallin at the end of the fifth round of their bout in Saudi Arabia, in an impressive performance from the 34-year-old. 

The display was celebrated across social media as fans praised Joshua for his win and the way he dispatched his Swedish opponent. 

‘That was an utter beatdown’ One post read. ‘Possibly Anthony Joshua’s single best performance since he beat Charles Martin for the world title in 2016.’

While another took the moment to focus on this stage of Joshua’s career by stating; ‘

Fans were impressed with Joshua’s display as he stopped Wallin at the end of the fifth round 

The link-up between Joshua and trainer Ben Davison has been praised by fans online 

‘Wish they’d stop comparing to the OLD Joshua! It’s a new version. The development of a fighter.’

There was even praise from Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotions who spearheaded the event, despite the frosty relationship Joshua has with the promotion who represents rival Tyson Fury. 

Warren himself wrote on X; ‘Dominant win @anthonyjoshua! Some massive fights in the division to make, the #DayOfReckoning did not disappoint.’

While head of PR for Queensbury Dev Sahni also praised the fighter, even though Joshua refused to answer his questions at a press conference in the lead up to the bout. 

Sahni posted; ‘Excellent performance from Anthony Joshua! A winning AJ is great news for the heavyweight division!’ 

There was also praise for AJ’s link-up with Ben Davidson, who was in his corner for the fight with Wallin. 

An ecstatic fan celebrated the win and Davison partnership by posting; ‘Here he is. AJ is back baby! That’s the best he’s looked in years. Aggressive, accurate, spiteful and dangerous.

Boxing fans were pleased to see Joshua back to his best in the win over Wallin in Saudi Arabia

On the same card, Deontay Wilder put his potential match-up with Joshua in doubt with he lost to Anthony Parker.
